Please don’t forget to respond to the 50mm Challenge Poll – even if you’re new to this blog! The poll will be tallied at the end of this month.

This week’s posts will be dedicated to another blog I’ve been working on: 31 Ways.

This photo using the “guideline” of thirds. I call it a guideline, because calling it a rule means people get stuck and use it exclusively. It is something that is great to understand and use, but it is definitely not the only way to compose a photo.

I placed the elements on the lines and then adjusted to move the lettuce more centrally (without putting it in the middle). It has a sort of symmetry to it due to the right angles, but is not really symmetrical otherwise.
